Data security is ePACT’s highest priority. The ePACT network uses industry best practice encryption and security standards to ensure the highest quality data protection for both the system and its users.
We meet or exceed all requirements under the HIPAA Privacy Rule in the USA, as well as Canada’s PIPEDA, PIPA, and FOIPPA legislation. All information for US-based organizations is stored on secure servers in the USA. All information for Canadian-based organizations is stored on secure servers in Canada.
ePACT was created to help families and organizations be better prepared for and communicate in the event of an emergency. Families and individuals join ePACT and build an online account to store their information in a highly secure, web-based system. Anyone that joins ePACT owns the information they add to their account. ePACT does not use this information, but simply provides secure online storage and connectivity options.
At no point does ePACT share account information on a user’ behalf.
