This error indicates that you are trying to add yourself as an Emergency Contact for your child, something ePACT does not allow for the following reasons.
ePACT has three different roles for adults to have in relation to the children they are connected to. Each role has different implications, and adults shouldn't be added to more than one role at a time for each child:
Legal Guardian: These are individuals for have legal custody of the child. All Legal Guardians should be listed on ePACT at all times. Legal Guardians are automatically granted Emergency Contact and Pick Up Person status in the system. Legal Guardians will always be contacted first in an emergency and will always be granted permission to drop off or pick up their child.
Emergency Contact: These are individuals who you would wish to be called in an Emergency if all Legal Guardians were not reachable by the organization. Emergency Contacts are automatically granted Pick Up Person status in the system. Emergency Contacts will always be granted permission to drop off or pick up a child.
Pick Up Person: These are individuals who are not to be called in an emergency, but who have permission to drop off or pick up your child.
