If the step-parent is legally responsible for the dependent, they should be listed as an additional legal guardian.

If the step-parent is not entitled to make decisions for the dependent but lives in the same house, list them as an adult in your household.

If the step-parent is not legally responsible for the dependent and does not live in the household, please list them as an emergency contact.
